If you're like me, who's only 19 years old and you're wondering whether or not you need to use any anti-aging products, then you've come to the right post!
I've never had any wrinkles or fine lines in my 19 years of life. However, it is important to realize that the skin will produces less oil as we age, and once the wrinkles or fine lines show up, it is extremely difficult to remove them.
So, prevention is crucial! I would say that anti-wrinkle cream is not essential for me right now, but it is very important to keep my skin hydrated and nourished.
Other than toner and moisturizer, what I currently use is the
Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Serum. This is an amazing product that is not exactly anti-wrinkle but it claims to give a more youthful looking skin in just 7 days. As far as more youthful looking skin, I do not see that much of a difference because I am still youthful :P But I do notice a HUGE difference in the tone and texture of my skin. My skin is so much softer and I notice that the colour of my skin is now more even. This transformation happens in less than 7 days so I was really impressed with the product.
It is a little pricey. Obviously the bigger bottle you can get, the more you save. I got the 1.7 oz for $98 which will last for approximately 6 months, so not too bad! If you're not sure, you can always ask for the 7-day trial (you have to ask at the counter because they usually have it there. If they don't they are usually kind enough to give you a sample with a small container).
CONTROVERSIES! I know a lot of people are against using anti-aging skincare at a young age because people are afraid that the skin will stop producing the natural anti-aging elastin earlier. Well, here's what I do:
1. Moisturizer and toner are still my essential everyday routine, but for the youth activating concentrate, I only use it am and pm every other week. I do not wish to have my skin "addicted" to the youth activating concentrate because I'm afraid of the withdrawal effects.
2. Sunscreen is a MUST! I cannot stress this enough. A lot of people do not get how harmful the sun can be! Go out with a sunscreen that has at least SPF 30 and re-apply every 3 hours.
3. Hydrate yourself by drinking enough water. Simple yet very effective.
Take care <3
